JUNIORS

10-18 years

This is how the juniors are organized

Juniors 10-18 years old

Welcome at HC Oranje-Rood! What do the Juniors look like at HC Oranje-Rood?

We don't have a waiting list!

The juniors of HC Oranje-Rood are children in the O12, O14, O16 and O18 age categories as established by the KNHB.

At the age of (approximately) 10, children start playing in an O12 (Juniors) team. Usually simultaneously with the transition to high school, children move to the O14 category, here they play for two years, then two years of O16, two years of O18, and then transition to seniors in the year they turn 18.

HC Oranje-Rood wants to create an environment for its junior members where every youth member can enjoy playing field hockey and learn the rules of field hockey. Development on technique and motor skills are primary goals. We have articulated them in the "3 P's"; Fun, Personal Development and Performance.

Our juniors have1 team training per week + the possibility for additional ''on demand'' trainings. Which days and times apply for these trainings will only become clear in the summer (major vacations) when the training schedule for the new season is made. On Saturdays the league games will be played. These games will be whistled by a junior referee.

Classifications

Field hockey is a team sport. Each player/player plays on the team where he/she does best.

From the O12 Juniors we have Top teams, Performance teams/2nd teams and Broad teams. During the season all children are assessed through a player tracking system with the help of trainers, coaches, selectors and our Technical Manager.

The "selection trainings" are also open to juniors from other clubs. For this you must first register via the registration form on the site. For our Top teams (O18-1, O16-1 and O14-1) other procedures apply. For more information please contact Claire de Natris:[email protected].

For more information contact the appropriate line coordinator. With him/her you will discuss the possibilities.

For contact information, see the Juniors Committee.

In winter, there is an indoor field hockey competition

Training sessions are also held in the hall. Due to limited available hall space, all teams will have approximately 6 training sessions during the hall hockey season.
